Engineering for Girls Gr. 6 to 7

with Makenzie Witter

$75

Join us for an exhilarating week of discovery, innovation, and hands-on problem-solving at this week-long camp designed exclusively for girls in grades 6-7! Step into the world of engineering and technology as you take on exciting challenges that push the boundaries of creativity and critical thinking. Guided by expert mentors, you’ll experiment with cutting-edge tools, explore the principles behind groundbreaking inventions, and tackle real-world problems with innovative solutions. The adventure culminates in a special project at Corning Community College’s Makerspace, where you’ll bring your ideas to life using advanced equipment. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore the endless possibilities of engineering!

Campers will work collaboratively with one another, the CCC staff, and real-life engineers during this incredible fun-filled week! This camp is inspired by Iren Bognar, who was the first female mechanical engineer hired by Corning Glass Works, and is sponsored by donations in her name. The camp is for girls entering grades 6-7, and lunch will be included.
