Engineering for Girls Gr. 8 to 9

with Makenzie Witter

$75

Take your engineering skills to the next level at this week-long camp designed for girls in grades 8-9! This exciting program offers a deeper dive into innovation, problem-solving, and cutting-edge technology. Guided by expert mentors, you'll tackle more advanced engineering challenges, experiment with high-tech tools, and explore the real-world impact of design and innovation. The week builds toward a hands-on project at Corning Community College’s Makerspace, where you’ll bring your ideas to life using professional-grade equipment. Whether you're exploring engineering for the first time or ready to take your skills further, this camp will inspire you to think big, innovate boldly, and bring your ideas to life!

Campers will work collaboratively with one another, the CCC staff, and real-life engineers during this incredible fun-filled week! This camp is inspired by Iren Bognar, who was the first female mechanical engineer hired by Corning Glass Works, and is sponsored through donations in her name. The camp is for girls entering grades 8-9, and lunch will be included.
